“We are rejoicing to be Poured Out For The Nations!”

Dear Poured Out Followers of Messiah Jesus,

I certainly am praising King Jesus for the honor and privilege to live in this exciting generation! So much is happening that I have to decide which two things to write about in this letter. First I will share a passage of scripture and then two Kingdom of Jesus opportunities that are before us.

And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”‘ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ Matthew 22:1-9

In this passage our Heavenly Father of course is the great King and our Savior Jesus is the Bridegroom. It is impossible to imagine how much our Father has done to bring us to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. Yet, for all He has done most are too busy with the world and this life to care about this great upcoming event that will dwarf all the cares and suffering of this life! So, our Father in Heaven and Messiah Jesus command us to go wherever we can to invite precious souls to the wedding.

Some of the places I go cause me physical and emotional discomfort. Yet the joy of obeying my Savior and being poured out for the faith of those He died to save makes it all worth it! As you hear the opportunities I am about to share please consider this passage in Matthew’s account of the gospel.

Minembwe Congo Conference

One of our primary partners in Africa is Pastor Muhoza Lewi who has Rwandan/ Congolese dual citizenship. He is from a mountain top village called Minembwe in the DR Congo that has experienced great bloodshed and threat only for the reason that the inhabitants are Tutsis. You may remember the Rwanda Tutsi genocide of 1994. This spread into the Congo and there are still pockets of trouble today. The people in the Ugandan Refugee camp we visit have fled there from places like Minembwe. I have been asked to speak at a special conference in this Congolese mountain village in September. The only way to the top of the mountain is by UN helicopter which is being arranged. There will probably be about 10,000 people in attendance and Pastor Lewi would be my translator.

I would be hosted by the Assemblies of God director of that region of DRC. Please pray as there have been visa issues the last two times I have attempted to go to the Congo. There are many other details that, Lord willing, I will be able to share later. What a special opportunity and With it many potential obstacles and expenses-PLEASE PRAY!

Our Watch Therefore television program is airing weekly now with two different times slots. I am praising King Jesus for this as He has truly been faithful in directing my steps regarding the broadcast. What a joy and treasure to live with the view of the Sea of Galilee right out my back door which is also my television recording set!

This program is truly another way to fulfill the Matthew 22 passage mentioned in this letter. Watch Therefore airs from Israel across North America through the Christian Television Network (CTN) on Dish Network, Direct TV, and ROKU. It also is beamed by satellite to 75% of the world-Hallelujah!

The primary goal of the program is to help make authentic “faithful servant” disciples of Jesus Christ. The faithful servant in Matthew 24 is watching for the Master to return and doing what the Master commanded.

I share the gospel at the end of most programs. Please pray and remember that this program air time is so very expensive. My help comes from the LORD and may He raise up faithful poured out partners who will come alongside to help!

Now is the time like never before to be Poured Out For The Nations!!!

SPECIAL UNGANDA MISSION UPDATE

Dear Poured Out Followers of Our Dear Messiah Jesus,

What an amazingly fruitful trip we had in Uganda!!! In this letter I will do my best to communicate a few of the things we experienced-there was so much. It was like a month of fruitful labor in eight days. Dee Warren (Mama Dee), Ken Merrill, and myself were the incoming team hosted by our partner Pastor Muhoza Lewi.

We spent our time in two primary environments-church meetings and the Nakivale Refugee Camp. Nakivale has about 124,000 people from nine African countries who have fled from violence and now live on the sprawling countryside camp. In the area of the camp we worked there is no running water and no electricity.

Response To The Gospel!

During this trip we saw about eighty-five precious souls pray to receive Jesus as Lord! Sadly, we are in a modern church environment that facilitates programs, entertainment, and good morals, but often times not much in the way of people being saved from their sin and the terrible place called hell! So, let’s remember what our Savior told us:

Matthew 18:11
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

Luke 15:7
I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over ones inner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

So, though we do not know for sure which ones of those who prayed truly repented and received Messiah Jesus-we rejoice with heaven for those who truly did! Many of those who prayed are orphaned and vulnerable children-praise King Jesus!

“Send It Ahead” Uganda Orphan Refugee Program!

We know that our Lord told us that we should lay up our treasures in heaven. We cannot take it with us when we go, but we can “Send It Ahead”! Pastor Lewi has undertaken a huge task of caring for and educating 364 orphans on this camp! They were wandering around dirty, neglected, and without schooling. Today they are clean, cared for, and going to a little school he started. There are ten teachers who receive almost no pay.  These children only eat one meal per day, the drinking water is very compromised, and the teachers need to be paid $100 monthly.

So, under the “Send It Ahead” program we have our first initiatives: WFT.
Water: Water well with a pump, 10,000 liter tank, piping, and drip irrigation.

Food:Five acres of crops that will be made possible by the water project.

Teachers: Monthly pay ($1000) for 10 teachers.

Ken Merrill, who has the experience of managing the building and operations of a three million dollar orphan village in Rwanda, is the project manager. Dee Warren, who has much experience in Africa with orphans and widows, is also involved in planning and development. We are putting a plan together and details will be on our website soon. You can begin praying and paying for the project immediately. Of course all donations are tax deductible. So, SEND IT AHEAD!

Pastors and Women’s Conferences

“Mama Dee” led two ladies conferences in Uganda. One was on the camp and another in a church. Remember, many of these ladies are widows and some were made so by the violence from which many fled into Uganda. These ladies have seen horrors that are beyond the imagination of those in the USA. It is just hard to associate with such suffering. But our compassionate Savior has given Mama Dee a heart for these precious ladies.

I led two pastors conferences at the same time as the Ladies conferences. They were both well attended and received. Our Watch Therefore, Poured Out, and Blessing Israeli Believers partners joined together to help provide special meals for the pastors, ladies, and orphan and vulnerable children-Hallelujah!

Once again, I say that only by eternity will we be able to measure the totality of the fruit from this trip! To all who prayerfully and financially participated-I thank you, but more importantly know that together we are bearing fruit that will remain! (John 15:16)

“We are rejoicing to be Poured Out For The Nations!”

Dear Poured Out Followers of Our Dear Messiah Jesus,

Dov Schwarz here with an update of our plans to go out with the gospel and to visit precious orphans and widows at a refugee camp in Uganda. Two special people from the USA are joining me on this trip. I am departing from Israel to meet them. One is Dee Warren from the Houston, TX area (the Africans call her “Mama Dee”). The other is Ken Merrill departing from Washington State. In this letter I would like you to hear from them regarding this special Kingdom outreach.

Mama Dee
Being a witness for Jesus Christ has profound effects in Africa where women are valued lower than livestock. There is no greater joy than showing them in Scripture how much our Lord and Savior values even them. Here is the testimony of a widow, who lost her husband and children in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda: “What you have told us here today regarding God, we did not know. We will go back and tell those who were unable to come today.” Not realizing American women have problems too, I am also able to assure them through Scripture the Lord who bound up my broken heart will do the same for them. Orphans particularly love hearing that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for believers, yes, even them.

Romans 10:14-15 asks how people will know about the Lord unless someone goes to them. The answer is they will not know. I look forward to sharing the Truth of scripture with the women and children on the Watch Therefore Ministries/Poured Out For The Nations trip to Uganda in May, 2017. Dee Warren

Ken Merrill
I am looking forward to this, my third mission trip to Africa with Pastor Dov and Poured Out for the Nations, but the first to the refugee camp in southern Uganda to serve “the least of these”. My name is Ken Merrill, now residing in Vancouver WA, where my wife Bev and I serve in our local church. I retired from the Alaska State Troopers after 20 years of service, after retiring Bev and I served nearly 4 years as missionaries in Rwanda, Africa where we helped to build a village for orphans, where I was the village director. Upon returning to the United States I returned to school finishing my Bachelors degree in Biblical Foundations at Multnomah University.

As I stated above this will be my third trip to Africa with Dov. The first two were spent in Rwanda and the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). Those trips had a two prong agenda with one ultimate goal. The goal with those trips as well as this up coming trip to Uganda remains the same, to see as many souls as possible come to know the eternal saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This goal was accomplished, on the one prong of Bible teaching and preaching of Pastor Dov, in local churches and pastor conferences. The other prong was to have a long term presence working with Pastor Lewi, a Rwandan and power of the Lord.

On our original trip we were looking at ways to start another village for Rwandan orphans and other vulnerable children along the same idea of what I had worked with before. As we spoke with officials within the government it became apparent that the philosophy concerning orphans and orphanages within Rwanda had changed, that instead of orphan villages they preferred returning the orphans to their own villages to live with relatives or adoptive parents. Which of course, is the best option for these children.

We modified our original plan of a village to a boarding school, where these vulnerable children would come to stay during the schools terms and return to their home villages between terms. The idea was, not only to have the children’s school, but also a training area for adults to learn about hydroponics and aquaponics, skills that would help them provide for their own families and create a business model that would provide them with much needed income.

As with any kingdom work, it takes much prayer and also capital. Even though we had a comprehensive plan and government support, it became evident that through our prayers the timing was not in Gods will at that time. In our humanness we were disappointed, but could rejoice in the fact that God had answered our prayer of making it clear, either, yes or no. And that time the right doors were not opened in Rwanda.

During this upcoming trip we will still be partnering with Pastor Lewi who has started a primary school with over 360 orphans and vulnerable children at the refugee camp in Uganda. As before, our two prong approach will continue with Pastor Dov teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ and looking for opportunities to serve with Pastor Lewi to help with long term sustainability projects to help these precious children. Ken Merrill

Please pray for this special trip according to what you have read in this letter. Also, you can still help with financial needs-please only as the Holy Spirit leads. My own (Dov Schwarz) personal expenses are about $3,000 which includes plane fare, hotel rooms, rental vehicle, food, and other expenses on the ground associated with pastors and widows meetings. Remember missions strategies: PRAYING, GIVING, GOING!

Praising King Jesus!
