“We are rejoicing to be Poured Out For The Nations!”
Dear Poured Out Followers of Our Dear Messiah Jesus,
I have a special teaching regarding our identity and collective assignment, meaning this is for all of us who are saved. This collective assignment may take different forms due to our gifting and talents. But make no mistake-we have a very powerful example from the Apostle Paul of our work in this life.
Here is the scenario:
Paul, who was incarcerated for his godly witness before the Jewish people and is standing before the Roman Governor Festus and King Agrippa, gives testimony to his personal experience having met the resurrected Savior Jesus Christ! in the midst of this revelation listen to these powerful words the Lord tells him:
Acts 26:17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Here Paul is commissioned to be Poured Out For The Nations! Messiah Jesus tells Paul that he is being sent to the Gentiles for very specific purposes:
1) To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. This is exactly what he tells them in Corinth that the whole world needs-to have Satan’s blinding influences removed so that they can receive Jesus as Lord:
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 2) “…that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me”
Like Paul, it is our job to pray for, tell, and live our lives before people and show them that they have sinned against God, there is a place called hell for sinners, and that the only hope they have, which is the hope that can never disappoint, is believing in Jesus Christ, and Him alone, to forgive their sins and grant them everlasting life! There will be no good people in heaven, only sinners who have been saved by believing in Jesus Christ!
The only ones who have everlasting life and are in the Kingdom of God are those who have been set apart (sanctified) by faith in Messiah Jesus. This is because the only One who can set people apart for everlasting life is the One who gives everlasting life and here is what He said about the matter:
John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Remember, in this letter I mentioned that there are many ways to take this commission. Certainly, we who are born again are all responsible to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and we who have been saved are all personally responsible to make disciples of Jesus Christ-did you know that?
Yet also, we can participate together and get much more work done together and I encourage all who are reading this letter to join with me and be Poured Out For The Nations. There are so many open doors and so much good work to do! Time is running out quickly and there are so many souls to be saved!
