Dear Poured Out Followers of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

Winner Luzolana is one of our Africa Watch Therefore/Poured Out Team partners. He recently joined us at the Uganda Pastor/Servant Leaders Conference. In this letter he shares some of his experiences and insights. Having read his thoughts on paper I was so blessed—I thought it important to share with you:

Dear brothers and sisters,

My name is Winner Luzolana, I am a pastor and I live in Congo-Kinshasa. I am a Watch Therefore/Poured Out for the Nations partner.

First and foremost, I want to thank King Jesus for his protection, care, and supply during our recent mission trip in Kampala, Uganda. I would like to say a big “thank you and God bless you” to everyone who contributed generously to my air ticket. You know, the purpose of my presence in this pastors’ conference was to serve as a translator. I was translating from English into French for Pastor Balagassina Ouattara from Burkina-Faso.

Every so often I read this following statement in pastor Dov newsletters, “We as team Jesus Christ can participate together in 3 ways: Praying, Giving, Going. Lord willing, I will do the going”. In fact, I came to realize that “Going” is the most difficult part. For instance, pastor Dov travels 23 hours all the way from the US to Africa. I felt sorry for him when we arrived in Entebbe airport in Uganda, he was supposed to get there 2 hours before us, but he couldn’t make it because of plane trouble, and moreover his flight became longer than 23 hours. Going has never been easy, I forgot to travel with malaria treatment, so I got sick on the mission. I was about to pass out on the first day of the conference but thank God for pastor Dov and other pastors who took care of me and prayed for my healing. Brethren, let me quickly mention this, Missionaries are exposed to many challenges and spiritual warfare, so it is really our duty to be praying for them when they go to the mission field.

Indeed, the Uganda conference was a success. I can see that hall full of pastors, church leaders and servants of God from eight different countries: Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania. Every day we witnessed praises, worship and prayers in different languages led by pastors from eight nations. I was amazed by the songs and dances of our brothers from Rwanda and Uganda.

When they dance for the Lord you feel like they play sports because they jump, clap their hands and maracas – Oh, Hallelujah! It was wonderful! Heaven came down among us.As for the Word of God, the teachings of Pastor Dov Schwarz were beyond what we usually hear in pastors' conferences.

Pastor Dov taught us special teachings about Covenants and Bible prophecy. These teachings were accurate and focused on the Bible. I find it incredible that the Church today hardly preaches Abraham covenant, Moses covenant, David covenant, and so forth. Many pastors do not like to teach about Bible prophecy.

Since so many pastors do not know their Bible, they do not know the position of the Lord’s firstborn son, Israel, in the Bible Prophecy. They don't know that Israel is the timepiece of the world, they do not know that Israel is the Lord’s Fig tree. I could feel the ignorance of these things in the head of some pastors when they started asking questions.

There was a certain resistance, a certain hatred towards the Jews. This is because the Church has failed to teach the truth about the chosen people of God. And the devil took advantage of this ignorance to slip the lie, this is why many Christians today do not pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalms 122:6) and even worse they stand with Hamas in the conflict against Israel. Thank God, in the light of God's Word, Pastor Dov was able to unveil the mystery of the physical and spiritual birth of the nation of Israel. We learned a lot of things that I can’t write all.

Lastly, I want to congratulate Pastor Herman for well coordinating everything and his team did a great job too.

Dear Poured Out Disciples of Christ Jesus,

Here is a passage of Scripture that is on my heart as I prepare this letter. I do so just two days before my twenty-three hour flight to Uganda. By the time you are reading this letter I will be on my way back or will have just returned. The mission involves equipping pastors and preaching the gospel to the lost.

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15:16

With all that is wrong and troublesome around us there is something that will fill our hearts with joy and keep us on the narrow path that leads to life. What the above John 15 passage tells us will help us to be watching and ready when our Savior comes to take His people back to that place He has been preparing that is mentioned earlier in John 14:1-3.

So here it is: We need to remember that our Savior chose us and saved us in order that we would bear fruit that will remain forever in His everlasting and glorious Kingdom! For many weeks I have been sharing about this May Uganda outreach from which I am returning Lord willing. Why did the coordinating pastors and myself work for months organizing, praying, promoting, bringing pastors from eight countries to Uganda, and for me, flying all the way to Africa?

It is because we understand why we are here in this critical hour of time just before our Savior comes for us. Our time is for bringing as many as He will give to us that will also receive eternal life and come with us to our Heavenly Father’s house! This is eternal fruit that will remain forever—precious souls saved by King Messiah Jesus!

Again, I remind you that the only things we can take with us from this life/world to heaven are precious souls! These precious souls are the ones our Savior died on the cross to save and has given or will give (as we reach more) His resurrection life. May our fruit multiply according to our mission trip vision.

Multiplication!

“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:42-44

“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:1-2

One of the reasons we brought many pastors together from eight countries is to send them back with the urgent “Watch Therefore Message.” Like the Bible tells us, we commit the message to faithful church leaders regarding the urgency of the signs all around us that are flying off the pages of the Bible. These flashing red warnings are shouting the anytime and soon coming of our Lord Jesus for His church!

The prophetic signs our Savior spoke of in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and other passages from Genesis to Revelation that are surging and converging like never before, greatly enhance the necessity to heed our Savior’s command to watch therefore and be ready! As we commit these things to faithful men from eight countries—let’s pray that they take the message home to share with others. This message compels the lukewarm to repent and the lost to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Just think of it—one mission trip that is like eight mission trips—Hallelujah that sounds like multiplication! So then, please pray with me and our Watch Therefore Africa team for many faithful disciples of Messiah Jesus that will be raised up in these participating countries: Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, Burundi, DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), Tanzania, Burkina Faso.

Lord willing, we will have many powerful testimonies, pictures, and videos that will only be the tip of the iceberg snapshots of the fruit that will remain forever. And, before closing this letter I must say that I am so very thankful to our Heavenly Father, through our Savior Jesus—by the Person and power of the Holy Spirit for raising up so many faithful prayer and financial partners for this special Kingdom work! THANK YOU to all who abided in our Lord Jesus who made this trip possible.

A Letter of Hope and Mission

Dear Poured Out Followers of Jesus Christ,

Pretty amazing—we are in the Spring time of 2024! Soon it will be summer and the year will be half over. This year seems to be shaping up as very critical and will probably have a measure of turmoil and trouble. In the midst of these increasingly dark times I have good news—we have a King who is coming for us! He tells us in times just like these:

‘Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:1-3

Do you know what is an increasingly difficult commodity these days? Hope. When people lose hope and become overwhelmed with discouragement our Savior comes in with good news and great hope! The good news for those who need to be saved from their sins and given eternal life is that our Lord Jesus died to pay for our sins and rose from the grave! He gives eternal life and a wellspring of hope that does not disappoint in a world immersed in disappointment.

Our Savior then gives us the blessed hope of His coming for us in the clouds any moment—and certainly He will come to take us back to that place He has been preparing for His precious people. At the revelation of Jesus Christ to His people (the Rapture) all our hope by faith will become sight! Today, you can rest your hope in Him and rest all your hope in His coming if you have received Him as your Savior:

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

…looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ Titus 2:13

Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ…
1 Peter 1:13

Having been reminded of these things what should we do with all this hope—should we keep it to ourselves while others are becoming hopeless and discouraged? Actually, we can and should be reminded of our soon coming Savior’s mission for us all—it is His mission. We are to be here on mission carrying out His mission—what is it?

…for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10

Our Savior came to seek and save that which was lost—so shouldn’t that be our mission until He comes for us? I am also a pastor and as I have been leading pastor conferences and gospel outreaches in Africa I know that many pastors and Christians are hopeless and discouraged these days. I also know that many lost precious souls are looking for answers as the trouble increasingly mounts in the world.

Hallelujah—when I go to Africa and lead these pastor meetings we experience a fresh wind of Holy Spirit life—may our Savior Jesus be praised! All of a sudden what seemed impossible once again becomes Him-possible! The living color of heavenly life is infused back into what was becoming the black and white dullness of lukewarm and lifeless Christianity.

These pastors, and me too, are given revival life and something else begins to stir: our desire to see the lost saved by the Savior! We have the ONLY answer for the question so many are asking today: “what hope is left for me in this increasingly rotten world?” Again, we have the only answer: The Lord Jesus saves and He will not leave you here if you will call on His name and follow Him—He has gone to prepare a place for you because HE LOVES YOU! Excuse me—HALLELUJAH!

MAY 7-10 UGANDA PASTOR
CONFERENCE/GOSPEL OUTREACH

Here is where you come in to the program. We can participate together in this upcoming discipleship/gospel outreach opportunity. Now, instead of seven there are eight countries from which pastors will come together in Kampala, Uganda. There, we pastors will meet around the Scriptures as I teach the Watch Therefore message from our Savior to His people. Then I will preach the gospel in the evenings and Lord willing see the lost come to Christ Jesus to be saved and set free!

This Watch Therefore message stirs the lukewarm to repentance and restores the fiery hope we have in Messiah Jesus. When presented with the gospel it also gives urgency to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord today not later. Again, here is where you come in.

We as team Jesus Christ can participate together in 3 ways:
PRAYING, GIVING, GOING

1. PRAYING: will you pray for this outreach? Prayer points: funds to come in, my travels, revived pastors, saved souls and whatever the Holy Spirit lays upon your heart.
2. GIVING: our $40,000 budget still has a need of about $20,000 as I prepare this letter. If our Savior leads, will you prayerfully consider sowing into this mission outreach?
3. GOING: Lord willing, I will do the going.

Together, may we see and experience a great harvest of hope and salvation!
