Newsletter – Page 29 – Poured Out For the Nations

Dear Poured Out Followers of Messiah Jesus,

Once again I am looking back at a year that has seemingly passed by overnight. The Bible teaches that our lives on this earth are like a vapor, as from a teapot or hot plate (James 4:14). So, as we briefly do a “look back” at 2017, I am thankful for the fruitful work the Lord’s grace has provided for us. Since time is moving so quickly, let’s move forward in 2018 with intentionality.

THE GOSPEL OF MESSIAH JESUS!
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

This past year we have had so many gospel opportunities in the nations! I will mention two primary examples in which we saw approximately 400 precious souls pray to receive Messiah Jesus in the churches. Additionally, there are many who heard and received the word, but we did not publicly see their hearts converted from darkness to light.

I traveled to Africa twice this year. One trip was to Uganda with Dee Warren, “Mama Dee” as they call her, and the other trip with Ken Merrill—both from the States. What a powerful time of gospel sharing in the churches—and what joy in heaven to see about two hundred souls prayerfully repent and receive Messiah Jesus as Savior and Lord! Much more to share about this Kingdom adventure when we get to the orphans and discipleship snap shots.

Regarding the other gospel trip—I went to Nigeria for the first time in 2017. Pastor Ray Jensen, from Calvary Chapel Beth Shalom in Texas, met me there to join in the work. We were hosted by two special and very anointed men of God—Pastor Innocent and Rex Ajenifuja. In Nigeria, we also saw approximately two hundred precious souls pray to receive Messiah Jesus. A new opened door sits before us—huge churches in many Nigerian cities and towns. I was told that the city of Lagos has about 22,000,000 people. What an opportunity to reach souls for the Lord!

Of course we have our gospel partners Zaphania Makori in Kenya and others whom we support. Pastor Zaphania is winning so many to Messiah Jesus in Kenya, Rwanda, and the Congo. We prayerfully and financially support him monthly. Also at different times through the year we support our West African partner Lassina. He has translated books of the Bible into the language of his Muslim people group—they are getting saved by King Jesus!

DISCIPLESHIP!
“…Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.” John 21:17

Our discipleship ministry in 2017 was so very blessed and for that I give our Father in heaven great thanks! I had Bible teaching and preaching opportunities in Uganda, Nigeria, and our Texas church plant Calvary Chapel Beth Shalom. Thousands of precious souls sat under the teaching of the word including the Watch Therefore Message, which I will share in a moment. Our African partners are also teaching and preaching to make strong and mighty disciples. One of them I did not yet mention is James Okenda in Kenya who is pastoring and raising his family along with a precious adopted daughter named Esther.

ORPHANS!
“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.” Psalm 68:5

One of the primary objectives of Poured Out For The Nations is to minister to orphans in Africa. We have been doing this for about ten years in many different ways. We work exclusively through our Poured Out partners in Africa—one of whom is Pastor Muhoza Lewi. Brother Lewi is living on a very large refugee camp in Uganda. He, and his talented and extensive team, minister to about 365 orphans and vulnerable children. Thanks to our Lord Jesus and the generosity of our donors we have a newly drilled water well with great implications for these children who have a Father in heaven who loves them!

WATCH THEREFORE TV!
“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” Matthew 24:42

Our TV program began in January 2017. The Watch Therefore message is that of the faithful servant who is watching every day for the Master to return and doing what the Master commanded. It is such an important
message for this hour. In every program, along with the teaching, I share the gospel and urge those who are yet unsaved to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord.

We are on CTN (Christian Television Network) that airs on Direct TV, Dish Network, ROKU, and online streaming. Also, our program is on a satellite that covers 75% of the world. In 2017 Watch Therefore aired twice weekly and we pray and believe it is about to expand in 2018!

We know that our help comes from the Lord, and in 2017 He called many of you to partner with us to be a great portion of that help! Though we must manage resources faithfully, I try not to think too often about how much all of these efforts cost. It is comforting to be reminded frequently that my source is our great Provider Jesus. To all of you whom He raised up to support us prayerfully and financially in 2017—THANK YOU!
