Dear Poured Out Disciples of Messiah Jesus,

As I am writing this letter I am preparing to leave for Africa! Lord willing, as you are reading this letter I am already in Rwanda or the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). I want to tell you how thankful I am that our Savior Jesus raised up some of you to help by praying and giving to make this trip possible. Truly, I believe with all my heart that the fruit from this trip will only be measurable by eternity!

Lord willing, I will be returning August 22 from this trip that begins August 8. Please do pray for authentic professions of new faith in Messiah Jesus. Also, please be praying for the pastors and churches who will be receiving these “Watch Therefore” messages proclaiming the prophetic Scriptures. These messages certainly tend to facilitate repentance and even revival in the hearts of the Lord’s people who have been lukewarm.

Listen to the words of our Savior Jesus to the lukewarm church in Laodicea:
And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,
the Beginning of the creation of God:
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
Revelation 3:14-20

Our soon coming Lord’s warning should concern us more than ever as lukewarmness has spread like a cancer over so much of the modern church. Yet, these messages from the Bible I am preaching in Africa, and on my TV program Watch Therefore, are helpful to open precious hearts to our Savior Jesus.

Please do remember that we have many gospel and discipleship works including monthly TV expenses and monthly support to pastors and others in great need in Africa and India. Upon my return from Africa, Lord willing, I will have testimonies of what our Lord Jesus has done in our midst to glorify Himself and our Heavenly Father by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Dear Poured Out Followers of Messiah Jesus,

Truly, the closer we walk with our Savior Jesus the more we think with the mind of Christ that He has given us (1 Corinthians 2:16). The things He cares about becomes the things we care about. His desires become our desires.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4

Frankly speaking, before coming to Christ Jesus in faith, I only cared about three people. These three consumed my thoughts, desires, and plans. You may have heard of them: me, myself, and I. But now, not only do I care about the welfare of others here and now—I am deeply concerned about their eternal condition—where will they spend eternity.

You see, the desires of my Savior’s heart, who died on the cross and rose from the grave to save precious souls, has become my desire also. The more I delight myself in my Lord Jesus, the more He gives me the desire to see souls saved and given eternal life! And even more, He fulfills those desires by opening doors for me to preach His glorious life saving gospel to hungry souls who will listen and respond to His good news of salvation!

That is why I named this outreach of our ministry Poured Out For The Nations! As I have previously mentioned—one of those big open doors is our summer August 2023 gospel outreach in Rwanda and the Eastern DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo). These heavenly plans are coming together quickly now. Our team of pastors and churches in both countries are meeting and working to bring the dear souls together in August to hear the preaching of the powerful word of the Living God!

And, once again, I am asking you to pray. You see, my help doesn’t come from people although the Lord does raise up people to help. Of course, I am so very thankful to our Lord Jesus for the precious partnership of so many dear brothers and sisters in Christ. But look Who the Bible tells us our help comes from:

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:2

First, please do pray that our Lord Jesus helps us in all our ministry work this summer—especially our Rwanda/DRC Africa outreach this August 8 – 22, 2023.

Regarding this August missions effort I want to remind our partners of the Team Jesus opportunity that is such a great blessing: PRAYING, GIVING, GOING

Lord willing, I will do the going, would you prayerfully consider doing the praying and the giving? We started with a need of $20,000 for this August mission trip. Hallelujah, at the time of writing this letter we have received in hand and by pledges about $8,000! So, we now need about $12,000 more to meet our goal and make final preparations.

Praying, Giving, Going is a great way to work together getting out the gospel of our Savior Jesus!

Along, with preaching the gospel to see souls saved, we will be building up many pastors and churches with pastor conferences and church meetings. The Watch Therefore Message is the theme. Our Savior told us to Watch Therefore and Be Ready as He is coming for His church any moment in the glorious Rapture! We have seen pastors literally weeping over this message of hope and comfort!

“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Matthew” 24:42-44

“…looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great

God and Savior Jesus Christ…”Titus 2:13

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

SPECIAL AFRICA MISSIONS UPDATE

"Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles." Acts 14:27

Dear Poured Out Disciples of Christ Jesus,

Apostle Paul gave a great example of sharing his fruitful gospel works of grace with those who had prayerfully and financially supported his missions work. Having said that, our summer missions programs are in full swing and Hallelujah—the Spirit of the Lord is with us! And, we have begun to add fruit to the heavenly basket!

First, I am going to share a few expressions of that fruit from my recent Kinshasa, DRC trip. Then, I will share our next opportunity that is right around the corner this August. May our Savior be praised for all that He is doing in our midst!

Kinshasa, Western DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo)

I taught and preached the Bible thirteen times in eight days in Kinshasa—the capitol city of 14 million. Nine of those were for about three hours as I taught pastors and churches the Watch Therefore message of Matthew 24. Their precious hearts were so open and they listened carefully for three hours!

I also preached a special Sunday morning service and three nights at an outdoor gospel preaching event. In all these meetings I preached repentance and the gospel (Mark 1:14,15). Also in all these meetings, including in the churches, precious souls realized they had never been saved and received Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

I returned from a 24-1/2 hour plane flight, went home for a few hours, and then taught two chapters of Jeremiah in our Wednesday night church meeting. You would think it was time to go home and get a little sleep. But, I am so glad that was not the end of the mission trip.

A dear sister in Christ brought a precious lady to church who was beaten down from bad decisions and a crazy upbringing that had led her to a place of broken-ness and our Wednesday night church meeting. After church the love of our Savior was pouring out of my heart to her and as I shared the gospel with her she began to weep and prayed to receive her loving Savior Jesus!

The next day my wife and I met with her for follow up and she quite literally was another person than we had met the night before! She was so happy in Jesus in spite of the trouble in her life. Lord willing, by the time you are reading this letter she will have been baptized in the Gulf of Mexico (Galveston Bay) and she and her precious children are attending our new church. Hallelujah—what a way to close this mission trip!

August Rwanda / Eastern DRC Mission Trip

Prayerfully in our Lord Jesus, this Rwanda mission trip will be bigger and more fruitful than DRC. Through our Rwanda Watch Therefore Team leader Pastor Herman Gatware we have special opportunities in Rwanda and a network of churches in other African countries.

Also, the Lord has renewed opportunities in the Eastern DRC where I used to go many years ago. These new relationships are with churches that are some of the most established and important churches in this region. So, the plan is to spend about 5 days in Rwanda and then cross over into Bukavu, DRC which borders Rwanda.

A little history for context—the 1994 Rwanda genocide that cost the lives of about 800,000 Tusti Rwandans spilled over into Eastern DRC, along with other militia conflicts, and about 5.5 million died in the DRC. This is a region that is brimming with natural beauty, which contrasts the spiritual and physical oppression, poverty, and hopelessness.

It is in this context we will take the Watch Therefore Message—the blessed hope of our great God and Savior Messiah Jesus!!! His gospel goes so very well with His message of His anytime return to take us back to the place He has been preparing for His people—oh praise King Jesus our great God and Savior!

The cost of this trip will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000—yes twenty thousand dollars! And here is the funny part—our ministry at the time of this writing does not have a penny of it and the trip is this summer! Plane tickets and other expenses need to be paid very soon—what will I do? I will trust my Savior Jesus and stand and see the salvation of my Abba Father for these precious ones in Africa. What will you do? Please consider our missions motto: Praying, Giving, and Going. I will do the going—will you do the praying and giving?
